Heywood Sports Village swimming pools closed for repairs

Date published: 08 October 2018

Swimming pools at Heywood Sports Village will be closed until 16 October due to repairs.

Both the large and learner pools have been closed whilst the ventilation system and pool lining are repaired.

The repairs mean the pools will not reopen until 16 October at the earliest, although this is not a confirmed date.

A statement on the Link4Life website said: “Following initial discussions with the contractors responsible for the repair of both the ventilation system and pool lining we are now in a position to update all users.

“The timelines for repair mean that the pools will not be able to reopen until Tuesday 16 October at the earliest. Please note that this is not a confirmed date at present.

“Therefore, all pool activity will continued to be cancelled until this date.

“Alternative swimming pools are available at our other Link4Life leisure centres at Middleton Arena and Rochdale Leisure Centre.

“We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience.”

Link4Life has been contacted for further comment.
