Rochdale Training students create commemorative poppy for World War One centenary

Date published: 06 November 2018

Three students from Rochdale Training’s Fabrication and Welding workshop have hand-crafted a steel and brass poppy to commemorate Remembrance Sunday.

Instructor Michael Ell came up with the idea as a panel beating exercise for the learners, Connor Brumpton (MSM), Morgan Burke (MRB Fabrications) and Luke Dewhurst (SPC Sheet Metal), who all started at the beginning of October.

The poppy took the learners two days to make and is now on display in Rochdale Training’s reception area.
