Man charged with murder following death of woman in Rochdale

Mohammed Abid Choudhry, 36 of Smallbridge, has been charged with murder and remanded to appear before Manchester Magistrates Court tomorrow (Thursday 25 April 2019).
Shortly before 3am on Tuesday 23 April 2019, police were called to a house on Royal Street to reports that a woman had been stabbed.
Emergency services responded and a woman – who has since been formally identified as 33-year-old Saima Riaz – was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
