Calling all Rochdale poets for anthology of ‘Ageing’ poems

Writers living in the Rochdale borough are invited to submit up to two poems

Littleborough’s University of the Third Age (U3A) Creative Writing Group is publishing an anthology of poems on the subject of ‘Ageing’ and are calling on local poets to be included.

Writers living in the Rochdale borough are invited to submit up to two poems, between four and 40 lines, and previously unpublished.

The volume is being edited by James Nash; whose work includes A Bench for Billie Holiday: 70 Sonnets.

Entries should be received by Sunday 1 December 2019. Successful poets will be notified in January 2020 and the anthology will be published in February 2020.

Entry is free and copies of the anthology will be on sale locally. All money raised from the sales will be used for further projects.

Launched in 2014, Littleborough U3A was set up for retired and semi-retired people to unite and explore together. The group takes part in opportunities which enhances their lives through learning and discovering.
