Castleton Christmas lights switch on

Date published: 03 December 2019

Castleton's Christmas lights were switched on by the The Mayor of Rochdale, Councillor Billy Sheerin, on Sunday 1 December.

Starting at the village green with school children singing carols, a procession with lanterns paraded to the community centre.

There, Castleton School of Dancing and K Stars held performances, alongside music from Wardle Youth Band and Roch Valley Radio.

A variety of stalls offered gifts, food, a pop-up pub and a Santa's Grotto whilst all could try their hand at balloon modelling or circus skills.
