Rotary Heywood 2020 offering donations to local charities and causes

Date published: 10 January 2021

Thanks to the generosity of Heywood residents, Rotary Heywood 2020 can offer donations to local charities and causes.

Rotary Heywood 2020 has had a wonderful December helping Santa around Heywood, visiting six local primary schools to bring joy to the children whose Christmas celebrations were a little different to usual.

The organisation also brought Santa joy to a local care home, Morrison’s supermarket and to the streets and estates of Heywood.

Edwin Partridge, a member of Rotary Heywood 2020, said: “Thanks to the generosity of the people of Heywood, we are now able to offer donations to those local charities and causes who feel that they could benefit from some additional income.

“All of this would not have been possible without the help some of our local businesses so we wish to thank Mike Goldrick Window Blinds, Travis Perkins, Morrisons, Barclays Bank, G. Housley (Heywood) and, of course, the people of Heywood.”

Rotary International in Great Britain & Ireland is a membership and humanitarian service organisation. Through membership of their local Rotary club, members use their time and talents to make a difference in their own communities and around the world.

There are two clubs in Heywood; Rotary Heywood 2020 and the older Rotary Club of Heywood.

If you think that your cause may be able to use some extra funding, please email Rotary Heywood 2020 explaining why.
