Teenager taken to hospital with abdomen injury after ‘disturbance’ on Bury New Road, Heywood

A teenager was taken to hospital with a minor abdomen injury after a disturbance on Bury New Road in Heywood on Friday evening (5 February).
At around 8.40pm on Friday 5 February 2021, police were called to reports of a disturbance on Bury New Road, Heywood, near Heady Hill Road.
Emergency services attended and enquiries established that a group of approximately six people had been involved in a fight.
The 17-year-old boy who received the injury has since been discharged from hospital.
Two boys, aged 16 and 15, have been arrested on suspicion of Section 18 assault.
They have since been released under investigation.
