Snow spray artist's festive-themed window brings Christmas joy to Milnrow

Date published: 27 December 2022

A festive-themed window created from spray snow has been bringing Christmas cheer to Milnrow residents throughout December.

The window of CJ Bargains on Milnrow Precinct was transformed in November by artist Scott – AKA Snow Graffiti – after business owner Wesley Jones fell in love with his unique art style.

“I’ve followed him for two years and I wanted to try and book him for last year, but he had no availability,” Wes explained. “I was adamant I wanted it done and I was quite starstruck when he turned up!”

Over the course of seven hours, the window was transformed into a winter wonderland with the iconic Coca-Cola truck and Will Ferrell’s Buddy the Elf, plus silhouettes of Wes’ family.

Scott works freehand, painting the inside of the pane, essentially working backwards to create the stunning artworks.

“So many people have stopped to take photos, families have come down and walked past trying to take a selfie with it. The money I spent on it was worth it for the attention, and Scott is one of the humblest people I’ve ever met. He gives a lot back,” Wes added.

“Scott was very committed and amazing,  and I could really relate to him.”

Scott added: "Wes booked this for his community and was so excited to see the kids' faces when they saw it. He told me his reason behind this was to put a smile on someone's face when they walked past."
