Remembrance Sunday services to take place across townships

The various branches of the Royal British Legion within Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale have finalised details of this year's Remembrance Sunday parades and services.
Services will take place in Heywood, Littleborough, Middleton, Milnrow, Rochdale and Wardle.

The Mayor, Councillor Robin Parker, will be in attendance at the Rochdale service to lay the wreath alongside MP Paul Rowen and the Chief Executive of the Council Roger Ellis. Heywood and Middleton MP Jim Dobbin will be at the Middleton service, while Deputy Mayor Keith Swift will lay the wreath in Milnrow.

Full details of the parades and services are as follows:

Heywood
10:15am Parade meets at Garden Street Heywood
10:40am Parade sets off from Garden St, left along Bridge St and up Market St
10:50am Parade arrives at Hind Hill St and the Gardens
10:55 to 11:15am Remembrance Service at the Memorial Gardens
11:20am Parade sets off for March Past from Hind Hill St, via Pine St, Hornby St, Church St (for salute) and turn left along Hind Hill Street, left into Pine St and disband

Littleborough

10.30am Assemble at Council Offices, Hare Hill Park
10.40am Parade leaves for Cenotaph
10.55am Service at Cenotaph

Middleton

10.15am Assemble at Middleton Gardens
10.25am Parade leaves for Middleton Remembrance Gardens
10.45am Service begins

Milnrow

10.15am Assemble at Council Offices, Newhey Road, Milnrow
10.30am Parade leaves for Cenotaph
10.55am Service at Cenotaph

Rochdale

10.15am Organisations assemble in Mere Street, Rochdale
10.30am Parade leaves for Cenotaph via Drake Street
10.45am Ward Councillors, Magistrates, Officers and other Civic guests assemble in the Town Hall Exchange
10.50am Mayor, Chief Executive, MP and Church leaders leave the Main Entrance of the Town Hall for the Service at the Cenotaph. At the end of march past, Mayoral Party returns to Town Hall and Parade goes to Packer Street.

Wardle

2.30pm Assemble at Village Square, Wardle
3.00pm Service at Cenotaph
