One of the stolen information boards
Two new information boards, depicting the industrial heritage of the Spodden Valley, have been stolen from Healey Dell Nature Reserve.
The boards, installed as part of a National Lottery funded project, went missing sometime between Sunday 22 and Wednesday 25 April.
Richard Whittle, Ranger for Healey Dell said: "The boards are quite large, heavy duty laminated ones and are quite distinctive with various logos including Rochdale Council and the Big Lottery Fund.
"These information boards have proved very popular with the public and, as they were carefully removed from their mounting boards, it is possible that they have been stolen in order to sell them on."
If anyone has any information they should contact the Healey Dell Ranger’s Office on 01706 350459.
