Fair at St Andrew's
Stage one of our biggest and most important fund-raising events of the church year is this Saturday, November 9, with our annual Autumn Fair.
Though normally held in church please note a change of venue to St Andrew's Primary School, Union Road (close to what used to be the main entrance to Birch Hill Hospital) because of the Wider Welcome building work that is currently going on in church to improve and extend our community facilities.
The Fair will run from 11am to 1pm and will include all the usual attractions, such as bottle stall, chocolates, home-made cakes and jams, books, games, raffles and tombola.
In church on Sunday, Remembrance Sunday, we have Sung Eucharist at 9.30am with the Act of Remembrance at 11am.
Parish rota: lay assistants, J Paterson, J Coomer; readers, I Larder, R Larder; Intercessions, C Cook; sidespersons, G Kilpatrick, M Sheridan.
Congratulations to Christine Cook, who won the Wider Welcome prize draw, a week's stay in a luxury holiday apartment in Torquay.
The phone number for the Revd Mike Howarth, our curate, is 07977 164 848.
