Bernard Ward (36) from the Kirkholt area has been sentenced to 18 months imprisonment this week for various theft offences.

A 16-year-old male has been arrested and is on conditional bail on suspicion of theft and criminal damage.

A male has been charged with possession of class B drugs.

A 41-year-old male has been arrested and charged with Going Equipped for Theft after being stopped by officers who felt he was acting suspicious.

Littleborough Lakeside
Burglary - 4
02:05 19 September - Halifax Road - unknown offender approaches secure external cellar door at the front of the property. Offender then uses unknown implement to break padlock on door. Offender then proceeds to kick at the wooden door; causing damage. Victim then shouts to the offender - who makes off in a vehicle.

12:00 20 September – 09:00 24 September – Lake Bank - unknown offenders attend conservatory at rear of property and using unknown instrument to pry open the conservatory window causing damage to the same and gain entry from conservatory door. Offenders kick in kitchen door gaining entry to property and rummage through all rooms and leave via way of entry. Unknown if any items taken.

00:01 – 04:05 – 21 September – Brentwood Close - unknown offender/s approach property via side path between houses. Offender/s use unknown implement to force open ground floor patio doors. Offenders enter address and conduct tidy search stealing items from within. Offender exit as entry and make off from scene in direction unknown

21:00 – 21:10 – 21 September – Rakewood Road - unknown offender enters insecure property whilst ap is in bathroom through insecure door. Offender takes keys to victim's motor vehicle; exits as entered; steals victim's vehicle and makes off in unknown direction.

23:00 23 September – 08:00 24 September – Eafield Close - unknown offenders approach side of property from driveway force side upvc window using unknown implement. Climb through window into kitchen area and enter and conduct untidy search of whole premises. Steal items from within and exit by using the back door key and make off in unknown direction.

13:00 13 September – 00:01 2 September – Limefield - unknown offenders approach property from unknown direction to the rear via insecure fencing. Offenders make way to rear ground floor window and using a bladed implement force rear bottom corner of frame forcing the lock and open window. Offenders climb through same entering kitchen and make untidy search of all drawers and cupboards. Offenders remove property and make off unseen stealing same exit as per entry.

11:30 – 15:30 20t September – The Cray - unknown offender/s gain entry into victim's address by climbing through rear ground floor insecure windows. Once inside offender/s carry out untidy search of address and steal items from within. Victim returns and discovers burglary and attends a friend's address to report matter. Upon attending friend's address victim discovers a piece of clothing stolen from the burglary is on the radiator in the address. Other items recovered but victim will not support a prosecution

16:30 – 16:45 20 September – Dunlop Ave - Unknown male offender approached rear of property and climbs over rear fence panel to gain entry into rear garden. Offender enters property by walking through insecure rear door into kitchen area. Removes property from work surface. Offender exits as entry and is disturbed by victim who had heard the noises coming from rear of property.

11:00 – 21:46 20 September – Wray Place - unknown offender/s approach from unknown direction and go to rear ground floor window to a bedroom which they try to force using unknown implement however are unsuccessful in gaining entry causing window to crack. Offender/s then move to another rear window to kitchen using implement to force by inserting this between window and window frame in order to lever open. Offender/s then proceed to conduct untidy search of entire property before rear ground floor kitchen window using unknown implement. Enters as trespasser exiting as entered and from there in unknown direction by unknown means.
