Springhill Hospice Christmas Fair

Date published: 16 October 2014

The annual Springhill Hospice Christmas Fair is fast approaching on Sunday 16 November and organisers are looking for anyone wishing to donate goods for the event to do so as soon as possible.

Melanie Caffrey, Fundraiser at Springhill, says: “Each year our Christmas Fair has been going from strength to strength and that is due to the amount of quality items donated. The fairs raise a fantastic amount of money each year for the Hospice and it never fails to amaze me how generous people are and the support they offer.”

“In particular we are look for donations of home bake, bottles, children’s toys, tombola and raffle prizes and quality bric-a-brac. All donations can be brought to Springhill at the Craven, 7 Broad Lane, Rochdale OL16 4PG between 9am and 3:30pm.”

Anyone wishing to donate goods to the Hospice, please call the fundraising office on 01706 641790 or take them directly to Springhill Hospice at the Craven, Broad Lane.

Entrance as always is completely free and includes stalls such as a Santa’s Grotto, a selection of games and Christmas gift ideas and lots more from third party stalls. A free park and ride service will be operating to and from Gordon Rigg, Kingsway as well as extra parking being offered at the new fundraising headquarters at the Craven, Broad Lane.

Melanie concluded: “The Christmas Fair is such a lovely, festive day for all the family and I really hope people will support us.”
