Residents of Brackenhall Court in Heywood organised a Christmas luncheon on Wednesday (17 December) to get themselves into the Christmas spirit.
Currently in its fifth year, 25 people attended the lunch organised by the tenants. Those in attendance were treated to a four course meal cooked by Greenwoods of Oldham, a raffle and entertainment.
Tracey Pope, from Brackenhall Court, said: “They all absolutely loved it. This is something they have been doing for the past five years now and they all really enjoyed it. The lunch started at 12:30pm and went on until the early evening hours.”
A raffle which included a Christmas hamper also took place with all money raised going towards next year’s lunch.
Tracey added: “The raffle raised £63 all together and that will go towards organising next year’s lunch. We have already ready got it booked.”
Entertainment was also provided throughout the day from a solo singer guitarist who is also a tenant.
