The teenager was studying for his GCSE exams at the time of his death.

A tribute has been set up on the ‘Go Fund Me Website’ with more than £6,000 being raised so far.

Tributes have been paid to the teenager via the fundraising page with him being described as “funny, kind and caring”.

It is understood that his parents paid a visit to Cardinal Langley on Thursday (22 January) for a remembrance tribute.

Cardinal Langley Headteacher, Andrew Bridson said: “The Cardinal Langley community are in mourning following the death of Charlie Holden, a year 11 student, who died suddenly at home on Sunday.

“Charlie was a popular student who had a wide circle of friends and a love for life which touched all who knew him. He was studying for his GCSE exams later this year and had a bright future ahead of him. He will be sadly missed by all in our community.

“There will be a bright star in Heaven today that will forever be in our hearts.”

His death is not being treated as suspicious.
