Tenants and residents encouraged to 'dig it'

Date published: 24 January 2015

Tenants, residents and RBH employees once again have the chance to spruce up their neighbourhoods and spring into action as the hardy annual 'Dig It' grant funding scheme returns for a seventh successive year.

For the past six years, RBH has provided seed funding via 'Dig It' grants for planting schemes which improve the look of RBH neighbourhoods – and tenants across the Borough have taken advantage.

Following last year’s review of the scheme, all tenants and residents in RBH neighbourhoods, and all mutual members of RBH are able to apply. This means that alongside tenants and residents, RBH employee members can also apply.

Options include planting a flower bed or containers, installing hanging baskets, tree planting, or even a larger landscaping project. It could be a summer project, bulbs for next spring, or weeding out communal areas in need of attention.

The grants will fund plants, bulbs, containers, compost and equipment and are available for projects from a few pounds up to a maximum of £300.

If you'd like to find out more about "dig it" or make an application, please contact Ruth Camm or Linda Holcroft on 01706 273977.
