Simon Danczuk earns thousands from media work

Parliamentary declarations show Rochdale MP Simon Danczuk has earned almost £20,000 from the media and the publishers of his book about Cyril Smith between July and December 2014, including over £12,900 from the Daily Mail for the serialisation rights of his book.

Earlier in 2014 he accepted hospitality worth over £2,200 - a trip for two to the Grand National (worth £800) and a trip for two to the Chelsea Flower Show (worth £1,404).

Mr Danczuk earns a salary of £66,396 as an MP, and he also claimed £205,460.71 in expenses in 2013/14.

He is a director of Danczuk's Delicatessen Ltd and of Danczuk Media Ltd.
