Travellers on land next to Spotland Primary School
After a group of travellers have now set up home on land next to Spotland Primary School, Rochdale Council is understood to be looking at the possibility of obtaining a borough-wide injunction.
In less than a month, groups of travellers have been moved from land on Ings Lane and land in Bamford, with many residents getting more and more frustrated.

A spokesperson for Rochdale Council said: “We can only serve notice, and the court can only grant orders in respect of the land occupied by the travellers. We are looking into the possibility of obtaining a borough-wide injunction, but it is up to the courts whether that is granted.”
It is currently unclear if it is the same group of travellers moving from site to site across the borough.
