Cardinal Langley celebrate 98% pass rate

Students at Cardinal Langley achieved a 98% pass rate at A-level and 65% achieving A*-C grades. Students studying vocational courses gained an average of a distinction*, which is the highest achievement possible..

Head, Andy Bridson said: “We are proud of all our students and what they achieved. Their excellent grades reflect the hard work and dedication they have shown throughout their time at the school. They have developed into mature young adults who are now ready to take the next step in theor education.

"This year more students have gained university offers with the star performers being Dominic Gee and Liam Taylor who both achieved two A* grades and an A grade.”

Dominic Gee, A* Economics, A* History, A Maths: “I am so happy that I got good results, they are better than I expected which is great as my family will be very proud” – he is now going to Leeds University to study Economics.

Liam Taylor, A* Psychology, A8 PE. A History: “I am absolutely ecstatic, I have my family waiting outside because I was so nervous about getting my results and wanted to come in on my own. They are going to be thrilled when they hear my results” he is now going on to Manchester Met to study physiotherapy.

Shannon Wellens, AAB: “I can’t explain how happy I am, I got much better results than I thought I would. I’ve enjoyed my time here and I’m so tired out from all the studying, glad that my hard work has paid off because I got on the course I wanted. Hopefully now I can become a biology teacher, it was my favourite subject so it would be good to teach it”. Shannon is going to Liverpool University to study biology.
