The people of Wardle paid their respects to those who died in the service of their country this morning (Sunday 8 November) at the annual remembrance service.
The procession was led by Wardle Academy Band and the Service of Remembrance conducted by Reverend Sharon Jones.
The last post was sounded followed by a two minute silence and the laying of wreaths.
Councillor Ashley Dearnley said: "Once again another exceptional turn out. So many people there and good to see so many young people and all the uniformed organisations.
"It’s good that the young people learn about what happened.
"A wonderful family event.”
