Dale side will be playing in... green socks

Date published: 21 July 2014

Rochdale supporters might notice something different about the kit that Dale are wearing in this weekend’s game with Middlesboro. As a one off, the Dale side will be playing in green socks.

The change is to highlight  Springhill Hospice being the chosen charity of the Dale Trust over the forthcoming season following a poll of members earlier in the year.

The socks have been donated by club sponsor JD Sports after an urgent appeal from the club.

Anumber of “Go Green” events have been held around the town over the past year to raise funds for the Hospice, with the Trust also planning a couple of fund raising activities.

It is vital that the Hospice raises funds that are spent on specialist staff, food, drugs, heating, lighting and general maintenance of the Hospice building and services.
