Jack O’Connell returns to Spotland

Date published: 11 February 2015

Jack O’Connell has returned to Spotland.

The 20-year-old has penned a loan deal until the end of the season from Brentford.

It’s a return to Dale for the defender, who secured a transfer deadline day move to Brentford from Blackburn Rovers.

O’Connell spent the majority of the first half of this season at Spotland and was regularly involved in the side, notching up 19 starts and scoring three times between September and January.

He was also a main stay in Rochdale’s promotion winning side last season, making 45 appearances in all competitions.

O’Connell was registered in time for last night’s League One fixture versus Walsall and went straight into the squad to face the Saddlers.

He has chosen squad number 22.
