Littleborough RUFC 38 -10 Upper Eden RUFC

Littleoborough won their first home game of the season having taken the match to their opponents, Upper Eden RUFC.

Boro winger Mathew Goldthorpe opened the scoring witha try with his first touch of the ball.

Further pressure from Boro’s forwards saw Stuart Bairstow cross the line for Boro’s second try. Converted by Walton.

Upper Eden got their first points on the board when a strong tackle from Josh Park resutled in a penalty, which was converted to to give them three points.

Boro increased their lead when Goldthorpe ran in his second try. Walton converted.

Against the run of play in the second half, Eden kicked towards Boro’s corner flag and their winger collected to run in a converted try.

Back came Boro with another powerful run by Forden after further good work by Holt, creating good forward pressure near visitor’s line which resulted in a converted penalty try.

After good three quarter ball passing by Boro, fullback Park passed to support winger Coop, who crossed the line for Boro’s fifth try.  

Kearns made strong run back followed by further good run from Holt which gave Irving the opportunity to go over the line for Boro’s sixth try. Walton converting.

Murphy Holt was named man-of-the-match.
