A club spokesperson said: "We have four senior men’s teams, several mini and junior teams from under sevens through to under 12s and senior colts.

"New players are always made welcome, as are visitors and guests to our club. Come along and discover Rochdale’s “hidden gem”.

"As well with first class changing rooms for players, our new clubhouse boasts a comfortable and recently refurbished bar area and a sizeable function room also with bar facilities. We also have excellent kitchen facilities enabling us to provide catering for functions and events.

"Formed in 1921, Rochdale Rugby Union Football Club is a long established organisation providing the facilities for players of this version of the code in the Rochdale area. We are proud of the fact that all of our players are amateur, we have no professionals playing for our teams."
