Boxing: Adam Earnshaw puts in terrific performance to win against Hasan Khan

Date published: 07 November 2016

Adam Earnshaw, from Hamer Boxing Club, put in a terrific performance when boxing Hasan Khan of Sandygate ABC at The Mechanics Theatre, Burnley on Thursday 3 November.

The much stockier Khan began the first round by trying to unload heavy blows to the 13-year-old Hamer youngster's head, but Earnshaw had instantly found his range and stepped out of the way before stepping back and countering with crisp one-two combinations to the chin.

Earnshaw was in full control in rounds two and three as he continued to make his opponent miss by using great footwork and speed before moving back into range and countering with swift punches.

Earnshaw won the bout by a split decision.

Two days later Earnshaw travelled to Telford Football Ground in Shropshire to take on local boxer Armaan Aziz of Merridale ABC.

Earnshaw put in an even better performance against his much taller opponent yet it was Aziz who was awarded a very dubious home town decision.

Hamer boxer Husnain Ali lost a fair decision to another Merridale boxer, Coner Walker.
