Lewis Palfrey thanks Hornets supporters

Date published: 29 March 2017

Rochdale Hornets captain Lewis Palfrey has thanked travelling supporters for their vocal showing in London on Sunday.

He said: "Sunday's defeat was disappointing, but during the journey home the lads all mentioned how great it was to hear our supporters loud and proud, together at the bottom corner of the ground.

"On behalf of the whole squad, I want to thank everyone who was there cheering us on, and also everyone who has travelled to our away games so far this season. It really lifts the lads when we need it the most, and it helped us get over the line in tough games away to Bradford Bulls and Featherstone Rovers.

"It was a long trip to Trailfinders to watch us take on London Broncos, and we appreciate the time and effort out supporters put in to travelling such a distance to cheer us on. We're sorry we couldn't get the win, but we will continue to give our all for the shirt and for you, the fans.

"We hope to see The Crown Oil Arena packed out this Sunday for what is set to be a great encounter with Toulouse."
