Football: Shawclough Junior FC cup winners

Shawclough Football Club u10s and u13s have both won cup competitions in the Heywood Mini Soccer League.
The U13s beat Heyside Greens 2-0 in their cup final on Sunday 7 May.
Shawclough U10s won their cup final 2-1 against football Dreams Reds on Sunday 14 May.
Coaches of the U13s Hamza and Aaron said: "We are so proud of what the U13s have achieved, with it being the team's second consecutive league win and with new players to the team too this season, they've gelled well and worked hard to gain this title."
Andy Perrins who is manager of the u10s said: “It was a fantastic result for the lads. They really deserved their win against a very strong team. They had previously lost in the semi-finals last year to football Dreams Reds.
"Our thanks to our U10s sponsors Ruchi Restaurant and U13s sponsored by Mercer group."
