Keith Hill says Dale players go into Blackburn match "with no fear"

Rochdale face Blackburn Rovers at the Crown Oil Arena on Saturday still looking for their first league win of the season.

A much improved performance against Southend, which earned a ten man Dale a point, has buoyed the club's spirits and manager Keith Hill says the players will go into the match with no fear.

Hill said: “The difference between the two clubs [Rochdale and Blackburn] is massive when you look at the spend value and the recruitment value, but it is not unfortunate, it is just the way that the land lies and we will be a very difficult opposition for Blackburn.

“There is no fear, absolutely none, and we are looking forward to the challenges."

Whilst Dale remain in the bottom four with three points from five games, Blackburn lie mid table with six points from four games, with two wins (against Bardford City and Milton Keynes Dons) in the last two games following losses in their opening two games of the season.

Rovers manager Tony Mowbray feels that off the back of recent results, Rovers can approach the game against Dale "full of confidence".

He added: "It is very, very hard to go to Rochdale and just go and turn up and think you are going to win. It is a tight pitch and you are right on top of it. You know you are in a football match there.

"Blackburn Rovers is a big game for them so their players won't be short of adrenalin and desire, so we have to match that."

The game is all ticket and the RAFC ticket Office is open until 7pm Friday to give supporters an extra opportunity to purchase tickets.

Home fans can purchase tickets on the day of the game, however on match day, tickets must be bought from the RAFC Ticket Office before going to the turnstiles. With that in mind, fans are urged to buy in advance in order to help reduce queues.
