Rugby League: Littleborough Rugby League minis complete perfect weekend

Date published: 01 May 2018

Littleborough Rugby League's mini rugby league team completed a perfect weekend for the club with a 13-10 win at Wigan St Patrick's.

In one of the toughest tests of the young side's credentials, the boys and girl excelled with a fantastic all-round performance and maintained a near perfect start to the campaign.

From the first blow of the referee's whistle Littleborough were in no mood to hang around and opened the scoring in the very first minute through Jayden Kershaw.

He wreaked havoc on the Wigan St Patrick's defence as he weaved his way through for four tries and won the man-of-the-match trophy.

Jack Ashworth also scored an accomplished hat-trick.

A strong defensive display by Jack Picken wom him the top tackler award and Emilie Highton put together a performance beyond her young years.
