Littleborough Rugby Union U13 boys made the long 66-mile trip up the M6 to Lancaster where Vale of Lune were the hosts for the U13s boys.
A tale of a hill and two halves saw a hard fought first half with Littleborough running against the slope, and the score line read five tries to nil in favour of Vale of Lune.
Littleborough spent a large part of the first half camped on the Vale line but could not make their dominance count; basic handling errors their downfall.
Littleborough found their rhythm in the second half and ran in three tries to the single score for Vale of Lune. Brody Baxter with two for Littleborough, Joe Deegan with the other.
Debutant Harry Ratcliffe took the award for man-of-the-match award for Littleborough.
