Rochdale Mayfield awarded clubmark gold

Date published: 08 February 2010

Rochdale Mayfield have proven their excellence once more by being awarded Clubmark Gold status by the RFL/Sport England.

The quality standard mark recognises quality clubs that meet stringent criteria set out by the sports National Governing Body and Sport England. In order to achieve the award, Mayfield have had to meet quality standards in the playing programme, safeguarding and child protection, sports equity and ethics and club management.

The Club will be presented with their award at half time of the upcoming Carnegie Challenge Cup clash against Leigh East on Saturday 13 February at Castleton Sports Centre.

To mark the occasion, the Carnegie Challenge Cup will be at the club along with ex professionals, representatives from the local authority and the RFL.
