Norden Cricket Club president Brian Butterworth received a lifetime achievement award on Friday night when the Lancashire Cricket Board held its annual OSCAs (Outstanding Service to Cricket Awards) dinner and presentations in The Point at Emirates Old Trafford.

Brian has been involved in cricket for 60 years, most of them with Norden whom he has served as secretary and president.

He was one of three people shortlisted for the award, and he will now represent Lancashire at ther NatWest OSCAs at Lords later in the year.

Brian said: "It was a great honour for myself and the club, and I felt very humbled."

Norden also won the category for NatWest Cricket Force following a weekend-long event at the club in April and it's increased involvement with the community and sports groups.

John Murphy collected the trophy on behalf of the club, which will now represent Lancashire at Lords for the national awards dinner.
