Brierley in fine nick for Norden seconds

Date published: 29 July 2014

Nick Brierley claimed his first ever second team century for Norden on Saturday.

He had reached three figures in first team matches, but he never did it in the twos as he made his way up the ladder to become one of the CLL's all-time leading amateur bats.

His 120 helped Norden to a score of 289 against Rochdale at Redbrook. Rehan Udwadia scored 56 and Dean Lord scored 29.

Stags looked like making it a five-pointer at one stage but had to settle for four as Rochdale finished on 217 for eight.
