Danny Khan and Patryk Wojtczak,  of Queensway ABC, secured wins in their latest fights.

Khan, who was in action at at Riverside Whitworth Civic Hall on Friday (20 February) night, was participating in his first bout of the year.

Both boxers were getting a feel for each other in the first round, but it was obvious that Khan was the stronger of the two.

In round two Khan landed some good shots which hurt his opponent and forced the referee to give him a standing eight count.

Round three was similar with Khan staying in control to take a unanimous decision.

Assistant coach Jordan said: "Danny did exactly what we asked of him and got the result we wanted."

Super heavyweight Patryk Wojtczak got back on the winning track on Saturday (21 February) night at the Chadderton ABC show at Middleton Arena.

Coming off of the back of a shocking decision in his last fight, Wojtczak wasted no time in the first round landing some heavy shots and taking the round.

The second round was quite even as the Chadderton boxer responded well and both fighters were caught up in a bit of a war.

Round three was also very close but Wojtczak’s shots were just that little bit cleaner.

The judges’ score cards went in favour of the Queensway fighter in what the crowd agreed was the fight of the night.

Coaches Craig Turner and John Finnerty said: “That was one hell of a tough kid. Paddy was hitting him with everything and he just kept coming.”
