Mayfield Preview

Date published: 01 October 2015

Mayfield NCL take a breather on Saturday as they prepare for their final match of the season proper before beginning the play offs.

The NWML side are in action Saturday afternoon with a short trip down the road to face Bury Broncos in their last game of the season.

Broncos are mid table while Mayfield are one from bottom.

The coaches will be looking to go one better after a thrilling draw with Halton last week. A win on Saturday would see Mayfield move up one spot and that is what Dave Harmer and Craig White will be looking for after a disappointing season for the young side.

Next season should see the team bolstered by the inclusion of some of the U18s from this season as they progress into the open age ranks and a much better showing is expected by all.

Harmer is asking the players to pull together on Saturday and look to the future. In an uncharacteristic gesture, he promised to buy the players a drink if they win.
