Beech House School

Date published: 11 October 2010

A full Town Hall saw the Mayor of Rochdale, Councillor Zulfiqar Ali present the awards to the deserving pupils. This year was the most successful year in Beech House’s 160 year history both in the academic and sporting fields. There have never been so many trophies, medals and certificates to award and the pupils and parents helped celebrate this success.

As part of their healthy eating campaign, The Lower Prep were visited by bakers from Warburtons. They talked about healthy options and helped the children bake bread. The resulting loaves were delightful.

The basketball season got off to a good start for the under 14 team. All the pre-school training paid off with a 42:2 win away to Waterloo Lodge. The under 14 football team continued their winning ways with a 7:1 win away to Rossendale. The netball teams had mixed fortunes away to Matthew Moss. The under 13 team won 10:4 whilst the under 15 team lost 0:16.
