Prison Me! No Way!

Date published: 04 April 2014

Kingsway Park High School recently saw the exciting event of ‘Prison Me! No Way!

This event was aimed at all year 9 students and was designed to make them aware of potential life choices they will have to make in future.

The many support services taking part in the informative and memorable day were the prison service, fire service, RBH anti- social behaviour, domestic violence and RMBC road safety team.

Each delivered a unique and important message for the students who all said that the day was fantastic and worthwhile.

The most memorable experience named by the students was prisoner insight.

Here students spoke to serving prisoners, each told their story of poor choices, regret and the life they have today.

Seeing such young people incarcerated for such a long time for seemingly a single simple choice left many students stunned.

‘Prison Me No Way’ is a charity who work throughout the country and offer invaluable service for all students whoever they are.
