Congratulations to the Year 7 football team who beat St. Anne’s Academy 7-1. There were many outstanding performances all over the pitch, however Man of the Match has to go to Bailey Mills who scored four goals and was, at times, unplayable. The boys deserved the win and all of them worked their socks off for what was a great team performance. Well done to: Joseph Oldham, Maxx Wright, Dion Parker-Minchin, Thomas Coleman, Ethan Steel, Dylan Stott, Connor Marrow, Lucas Dowd, Ryan Marshall, Christian Carney, Cameron McGhee and Bailey Mills.

The Year 11 Boys’ football team continued their unbeaten run with a 3-1 win against Hollingworth Academy. The Goal of the Game was scored by Corey Hill with a half volley from 25 yards out which was smashed into the top right corner. Ewan Johnson was Man of the Match, making some important saves to keep us in the game. Well done to the team: Ewan Johnson, Will Adamson, Buck Parker, Adam Rushton, Jacob Ellis, Corey Hill, Jake Naylor, Morgan Stubbs, Alex Wilcock, Ibrahim Al-Ameeri, Kurt Hirst, Asad Shah, Charlie Hill and Usman Shaukat.

Congratulations to our Year 7 netballers who recently played Kingsway Park and won 13-1! The team was: Jess Verity (Player of the Match), Sarah England, Isabel Pauline, Holly Birch, Jacey Noon, Alex Lewis, Liberty Davis and Lilly Mangan.

A big well done to all Year 11’s for their positive contributions to Immersion Day activities. You braved the cold, solved many a problem and had fun whilst learning important skills for the year ahead!

Year 11 - Start gathering together your notes and commence revision now for the Pre Public Exams (Mock Exam Week) coming up in December. Start now and you will be better prepared and you will experience more success!

All Year 11’s should now be applying for Colleges for next year. Most College deadlines are in November, so you should now be visiting the Colleges and making your choices. Please see Mrs Sanderson if you are unsure and would like a Careers appointment.

School finishes for half term on Friday and re-opens at 8:25am on Monday 3 November. We hope you all have a nice, relaxing break and we look forward to welcoming you back refreshed and ready to learn.
