Parental Survey
Many thanks for your feedback into the recent annual parental survey which has a very positive overview in relation to the questions posed. The results can be found on the website. As ever your input is vital to the improvement of the school – the construction comments via the Annual Review and My Plan meetings also help to contribute to individual planning issues. Thank you for your continued contributions.

Magic Breakfast
The last plans are being put into place for the trial of the programme in the New Year within each department and these will be shared with parents and carers before the end of term.

Student Council Elections
In the recent school election to select the Chair and Vice Chair of the council, James in Year 11 has been elected as Chair with Ellis B and Paul D as joint vice chairs. They will take up their new roles at the first meeting of the New Year on 13 January. Congratulations and well done to all of the students who were nominated.

Hydrotherapy Pool
Work has started this week on the repairs to the pool and despite some issues relating to the process of the repairs, I am led to believe that it will be in operation for the start of the new term which is excellent news.

6th Form Residential
Well done to all those students who have enjoyed a busy but fabulous experience in London this week – sight seeing tour, a West End show, shopping, dining out, using the underground – what an experience at this time of the year. Thanks to the staff for organizing the residential and giving up their own time to ensure it was a success

Extended School Provision
After school clubs and youth clubs will not be taking place next week. The programme will commence again the week commencing 12th January 2015.

Departmental Offer: Autumn Term 2014
Each key stage has produced a document giving details of the various curriculum pathways for the autumn term. Should you wish to have a copy please contact school or for more details please visit the school website.

We have been learning different techniques to create Christmas cards in Enterprise.

We have been producing layered effects, used the Big Shot, embossing powders and choosing papers that complement each other. The enterprise group have worked brilliant as a team and produced some professional Christmas cards which we have sold in class this week.

The second group have been busy on fox Friday’s producing great cards and key rings. A very talented group producing great work. Keep it up.

Students have been using measuring and pattern making skills to design and make Christmas cards.
