Heybrook ‘Lego Lions’
Heybrook Primary School sent a team of 8 children: Fatima Ahmed, Junaid Miah, Mohammed Zameer Aslam, Madassar Irfan, Adia Arzoo, Sadiya Hamid, Shimul Akhtar and Iman Zia – the ‘Lego Lions’, to compete in the First Lego League (FLL) regional tournament on the 17December at Bradford University.
Teams from 14 other schools including high schools competed against each other demonstrating their science and technology skills.
They had to programme a robot and use it to solve problems and tasks.
They were judged on their ability to build and programme the robot, their presentation and research skills for this year’s topic ‘World Class’, teamwork and how well they co-operate with each other and their competitors.
They received ‘highly commended’ medals for their presentation.
A huge well done to our 'Lego Lions'.
