Drama students visit to the National Rail Museum

Date published: 21 September 2015

Falinge Park High School Year 9 and 10 drama students paid a visit to the National Rail Museum in York as part of their preparatory research and character development work for the forthcoming ‘Full Steam’ show in October.

The visit took place on Friday, the 18 September 2015 and included an independent research task and specially prepared workshop by the National Rail Museum staff.

Students learnt about the roles and tasks of railways station employees and train staff during the 1940’s and 1950’s. Well done to all the students for their impeccable behaviour and excellent work on the day.

Everyone had a lovely time; Tehzib Janjua, Year 10 said: “I enjoyed learning about how people used to travel and live in the early part of the 20th century and how important the railway was for many people.”
