Calling all budding animators:

Manchester University is running its 9th annual competition for anyone who likes to create animations. They want school pupils aged 7 to 19 to create a one minute animation on the topic of their choice. You can create your animations using any of the following programs: Scratch, Adobe Flash, Alice, Blender, Maya, 3DS Max, Muvizu, Synfig Studio, Serif Draw Plus, KoolMoves, or SWiSH. If you would like to have a go and get involved, please see Miss McGiffen in Room 113 for more details on how to enter. All entrants will receive certificates, and you could win fantastic prizes like Amazon vouchers, music players, laptops, and tablets.

Stem Club:

Calling all Year 7-9 pupils to join our exciting new club. STEM Club will take on projects like: Who can build the best rocket? Who can build the strongest bridge? How can we make slime? These are only a few projects that we will undertake this year. It will take place on a Wednesday from 2:50 to 3:50pm. If you are interested in joining, or just want more information, you need to come to Room 123 for a letter and speak to Miss Beckham about it or ask your Science teacher.
