Key Stage 4 students

This week is a busy week for our Key Stage 4 students.

Year 10 GCSE Art students will be visiting the Whitworth Art Gallery on Monday, and Year 11 GCSE Geography students will be visiting Manchester City Centre as part of their controlled assessment work, also on Monday.

Year 11 students will be undertaking their German and Italian Speaking Assessments over the next two weeks.

Year 10 GCSE Drama students will be participating in an Oldham Theatre Workshop on Friday.

We also have a busy day on Tuesday for our Year 7 students, with Form Tutor Review Day and Year 7 Matters Evening taking place.

Football

Congratulations to the Year 10 Boys’ Football Team, who won their first match of the season 3-2 against Holy Family. In a closely fought encounter, Mr Bardsley and Mr Meah nominated both Thomas Booth and Callum Ruffell for Man of the Match.

Well done to all the players involved: Callum Ruffell, Danny Devine, Thomas Booth, Matthew Greenwood, Lewis Hamer, Deen Imran, Marcus Welsby, Dayne Stewart, Bailey Turner (1 goal), Hayden Lewis (1 goal), Hakeem Gbajabiamilla (1 goal), Tom Tobias , Jordan Parkhill and Abdul Akram.

The Year 7 Boys’ Football first taste of high school football ended in defeat against Cardinal Langley on a wet and cold afternoon. However, the result didn’t match the performance as the boys played excellently in their first game together in hard conditions.

The players involved were: Jake Gretton, Mohammed Saadoon, Josh Smith, Adam Hamid, Ethan Brierley, Harris Khan, Alex Johnson, Denny Green, Matthew Hill, Ethan Kwei- Sutcliffe, Ben Allen and Spencer Allen.
