Hamer Community Primary School

Date published: 09 November 2015

The classes that made the most profit during Enterprise week, winning £100 each for classroom resources, were Miss Casey’s Class in KS1 and Mr Nadin’s Class in KS2.

In total as a school we made just over £300 profit! What an innovative, entrepreneurial lot we are! Well Done!

The children have had their school photographs taken and the proofs have been sent home for families to decide what they want to purchase.

The LKS2 children are out on this trip on Friday 13 November to Chester. As the weather is so unpredictable this time of year, it is really important that the children remember to bring warm coats, hats and sensible outdoor shoes.

Thank you to children and families who have supported the poppy appeal by donating money for a poppy to wear in remembrance of those who have given so much for the freedom we enjoy and take for granted. Hamer thoughts also go out to all families affected by conflicts, present and past.

The football match which was due to take place on Thursday this week was rained off. We hope to rearrange this with Heybrook School soon.

Please can parents remind children to work as often as possible on their Maths Passports at home. The monster maths problems are also coming home again so please continue to support (as our fabulous families always do so well!) the children with these fun academic maths initiatives

Please can parents of Year 5 children remember that a £10 deposit is required to secure a place on the Robinwood trip. Friday 13 November is the absolute deadline for deposits.
