Hamer Community Primary School

Date published: 14 November 2015

On Wednesday 11 November the children and staff of Hamer School undertook the national minute’s silence to commemorate the bravery of those who lost their lives or fought and survived to preserve the rights and freedoms afforded to us today in Britain. The children were very thoughtful and sensible without exception, once again, showing their wonderful values.

The rearranged football match with Heybrook primary school took place on Thursday 12 November. Our team played extremely well in the wet conditions with plenty of tackles and headers. It was a good game but we did not win the match. Sufyan Gillani was our team captain and was awarded the man of the match Well done to everyone for taking part.

The Year 3 and 4 children went on Friday 13 November on an Educational Visit to Chester which ties in with their wonderful topic work on “The Romans”

Mr Moore and Mrs Terry recently attended the annual IPLCN Leadership Conference . The conference brings together our partnership school leaders from across the eleven schools who form the collaborative group. We are proud to work together with other dynamic schools, in partnership, for all of our children.

A reminder to parents that midday on Monday the 16 November is the deadline for ordering school photographs at the school office. Thank you.

Parent/Teacher meetings will be going on at the beginning and end of days throughout next week. Let’s try to make sure that all parents make an appointment to discuss their child’s progress and find out how you can support learning at home even more. Thank you
