KS4Cook and Eat in made Christmas dinner this week, there was an awful lot of sprouts to peel. They made an amazing malteaser cake, with the help of Robert.

PC Paul Patterson came into school to talk to students about road safety. The talk was really informative and students learnt a lot about being safe around cars.

This Tuesday our students took part in a creative day highlighting our Redwood Values; Work Hard, Good Manners, Be Truthful and the British Values of; Mutual Respect, Individual Liberty, Democracy and the Rule of Law.

Miss Doggett would like to say a big thanks for the lovely sledge made by Daniels.
A number of KS4 classes have been out on their trips this week staff have been extremely proud of the way students have conducted themselves whilst out.

Key stage 3 had their Christmas meal on Wednesday. They decorated all the tables and made party hats to get into the Christmas party spirit. Yum Yum.

The Key stage 3 raffle raised £50 at the Christmas fair then a further £211 a grand total of £261.We will let you know in the New Year what we have bought with the money raised.
A Big thank you to all who gave a prize donation and also to everyone who purchased a ticket.

KS5
At REEC we have been preparing for Christmas. We decorated our classrooms with donations of trees, baubles and tinsel. Mr and Mrs Scowcroft gave a generous cash donation of £100. This allowed us to buy everything we needed. After making REEC sparkle, we enjoyed Christmas songs, mince pies and cakes.

As part of our Body Awareness sessions we have been trying out yoga poses and using our senses to gain knowledge of the world. However, in this investigation we put one hand in a bowl of cold water, the other hand in a bowl of hot water and then placed each hand into a bowl of luke warm water. Strangely, the water temperature felt different for each of our hands. Try it yourselves.

To all students, parents and carers
On behalf of the governors and staff I would like to wish you a very happy Christmas and a Peaceful New Year. I would also like to thank you for your support during the past year. See you in 2016.

School will reopen on Monday 4 January 2016.
