St Andrew’s, Dearnley

Date published: 14 October 2015

Another busy week in church, with the Friendship Club on Tuesday, choir practice on Wednesday, Eucharist in church on Thursday morning and Holy Communion later in the day taken to the residents of Belvoir and Ashcroft.

On Sunday we have our usual Sung Eucharist at 9.30am, followed at 6.00pm by a Healing Service.

This service will provide a quiet and gentle time of prayer and anointing for others and for ourselves. We gather together for the laying on of hands as a sign of love and support for each other. We pray for the healing of body, mind and spirit. All are welcome.

We also welcome back ‘Pilgrim’, a course for the Christian journey, which we are putting on for the third autumn in a row and which starts on Thursday, October 22. There will be six Thursday evening sessions, each starting at 7.30pm and finishing at 9pm.

The Rev Mike, who runs the course, will be leading the group into a look at the Ten Commandments, de-mystifying, asking questions and drawing out their relevance to our lives today.

Sessions will include audio and video input as well as the customary lively discussion and debate.

Each Thursday session will be complete in itself so you don’t have to commit to the full programme. Just go along when you can.
