Tricia was born in Rochdale and has lived in Healey Ward since 1981. She has played an active role in the local community for several years and is pleased to have been selected to stand for election as a Labour Councillor representing Healey in the local elections in May 2022.

Tricia worked in School Leadership in Special Education in both Rochdale and Oldham for over 30 years, and now writes about English Literature and the Brontës in particular. Her work in special education and particularly with the families of children with special needs has given her a clear understanding of the challenges faced in terms of access to services and suitable housing provision. She is committed to supporting the residents of Healey Ward by helping to protect local businesses, developing the local environment, and ensuring that community provision continues to grow and is accessible to all.

Tricia says, ‘I am pleased and proud to have been selected by local Labour Party members to stand for election in Healey Ward, Rochdale. I would like to urge electors to give their 3 votes to the local Labour team of Shaun O’Neill, Shah Wazir and myself. Shaun and Shah have already represented Healey as your Councillors for several years and have a proven record of working hard all year round for local residents. I look forward to continuing to work alongside them.’
