I am Rochdale born and bred, born in Birch Hill Hospital, raised in a corner shop in Deeplish, schooled in Rochdale and worked for Zen Internet (a Rochdale-based company) as a solutions architect for 8 years up until very recently. I now work as a solutions architect for a large multi-national managed services provider designing IT solutions for the public and private sector.
I have supported and raised money for local charities including Jolly Josh and Springhill Hospice as well as being one of the founding organisers of the Littleborough Scarecrow Festival.
I have lived across the borough from Deeplish to Castleton, Littleborough and now in Shawclough where I live with my partner and children.
In my spare time, I am passionate about music and run an 8-piece blues funk and soul band as well as playing cornet for Whitworth Vale and Healey Brass Band.
A vote for me on the 2nd May is a vote for someone who is Rochdale to the core, who will lobby to have the local community forums re-instated, safer pedestrian crossings of Whitworth Road and Shawclough Road, Improved maintenance of the walkways in Healey Dell and support of local residents issues including parking and planning.
