Mike Harrison, Communications Manager at Glennmont Partners said: “A week after the incident with one of the turbines at our Todmorden Moor Wind Farm, the manufacturer’s expert technicians are preparing to test the remaining four turbines with a view to bringing these back online as soon as possible.
“This comes after the necessary health and safety checks have been made and further safety measures for the engineers and surrounding area have been put in place.
“This testing will involve turning the power back on to the remaining four turbines this Friday (12 June) and limiting their operation to 1MW with the turbines rotating.
“The damaged turbine will be isolated so there is no risk of further issues and engineers can continue with their investigation of the turbine in a safe environment.
“Once all of the checks on the four remaining turbines are complete, it is hoped they can resume generating renewable energy at full capacity in the near future. Ongoing monitoring of the turbines will be maintained as the investigation into the damaged turbine continues.”
